Robot Feeder for Amity
Picture
Here are the works. There are of course many different ways to skin a cat (sorry Amity) feeder and that's what makes this such a nice little project. I used a worm gear system. I wonder if a pulley system would have worked just as well?

Here's the code I created in Scratch... When the space bar is pressed sound recording 1 invites the cat to dinner! Then the system waits until the sensor value drops below 30. When it does Recording 2 wishes the cat bon apetit and the motor is switched on for 3 seconds. 10 seconds meal time is probably a bit short for a hungry cat, but after that the motor reverses and after a final recorded message the cycle is reset ready to be repeated.

Alma's Description of Amity
Curled up like a gold and orange as well as black and ginger Chelsea bun. With green eyes staring back at me. As she gets up her red collar glows in the light of the moon. Her tail stretching out as far as it can go curled at the end like a question mark twitching at the end of her tail. Her ears moving side to side in the glow of the stars. Washing her silky body.
