How will we get people interested in the mission?

What should we do to get people interested in the balloon mission

1. Before the launch?
2. During the launch?
3. After the launch?

What do you think is the best way to tell them and what should we say?

You might think it is a good idea to write to newspapers, radio or television channels telling them about the mission and inviting them to the launch. You might want to publish a live blog during the mission with photographs so that children in other schools can follow what is happening. You might want to get the rest of the children involved in the mission by getting them to dress as astronauts.

What should we do to get children, parents and the rest of the world interested in our mission?

1.We could advertise the website and get people interested by sending out interesting letters to the pupils asking them to contribute in ideas about where and when we could launch, how we could gain access to the tools necessary.
2.During the launch we could film it and post the video feed onto this site and explain to people what happened and how and then after share the data gained by this expedition on this site.
3.After the launch we could tour schools and tell them the necessary steps that made the mission a success and then set them interesting challenges to complete and send to us.

1. We could invite friends and family to watch. At the beginning we could speak aloud some space poetry that we wrote for entertainment. Perhaps performance poetry? That would make it very exciting!
2. We could video it and post it on the blog. I do like the idea of a live blog; we could keep people informed within the moment!
3. We could write a brief summary of the event independently and a few could go on the blog.

The poetry is a good idea. But I wouldn't like to wait two hours watching a balloon so we should take some out of it.

We could put a press release together and send around to the local newspapers and community magazines like the Quedgeley news and even send to the TV news. We could also talk about it during school assembly and write updates within the Friday Fortnightly or school letters.
